Maui is a wonderful destination location and has become an increasingly

underwater world. Below are a few fun facts that you may not know about this
special island.
- Second Largest Hawaiian Island: Maui measures 727 square miles in total,
making it the second largest Hawaiian island. - One of The Largest Dormant Volcanoes: Maui is home to several dormant
volcanoes but the largest one on the island is Haleakala. This dormant
volcano is one of the largest in the world. - Multiple Pineapple Farms: When visiting Maui you have the opportunity to
visit three different pineapple farms. These farms are named: Maui Pineapple
Tour, Maui Tropical Plantation, and the Maui Dragon Fruit Farm. - 10,000 humpback whales: During the months December – April the
warmer water temperatures bring thousands of humpback whales annually. - Sugar Museum: Located in Kahului is an adorable sugar museum that will
show you the process of growing sugar on the island. - 30 Miles of Beach: While there is more coastline than beach there is still
over 30 miles of actual beach on Maui. This includes all types such as black,
white, and red sand beaches.
