5 Awesome Scuba Diving Destinations

You can find scuba diving enthusiasts all around the world. With so many places to dive, it is hard to narrow it down to favorites. Instead, we have decided to tell you about 5 awesome scuba diving destinations around the world.

Belize- Found by famous French explorer Jacques Cousteau, The Blue Hole is arguably the most famous dive site in the world. At about 300 meters in diameter and going an estimated 125 meters deep, this marine sinkhole is the known home of reef, bull, and hammerhead sharks. The warm sun allows for the water to be stunningly clear allowing divers to be able to see and appreciate these titans of the ocean.

Australia- Known by children and adults alike, the 134,634 square mile Great Barrier Reef  is visible from outer space. Barracudas are just one of the over 1,000 types of fish to call this coral landscape home. The ambient temperature of the water provides year round scuba diving opportunities and there is always a new location that enthusiastic divers can visit.

Brazil- While this may not be the first country that you think of for scuba diving, locations like Fernando de Noronha are growing in popularity. There are limitations that are put on the number of people that can explore this slice of paradise as for the underwater photographer, seeing one of the most well intact wreck sites, Corveta V 17.

Indonesia- The Gili Islands are made up of three small islands that are surrounded by reefs and have many active scuba diving locations. Shark Point, Halik, and the Meno Wall are all home to sharks, sea turtles and a variety of fish. For the adventurous expert diver, there are plenty of deeper areas to explore.

Maui- Of course we may be a little biased, but Maui really does have some of the most stunning scuba diving in the world.
