Safety Tips While Diving
If you are considering scuba diving Maui for the first time there are several
safety tips that you will want to remember. Maui Scuba Mike takes safety very
seriously! He wants everyone to have a wonderful time but also a safe one. Scuba
diving can be dangerous if you do not follow the rules. However, as long as you pay
attention and listen to all directions it is extremely safe. It is important that you
wear all the proper gear and listen to instructions prior to getting into the water.
Below are a few safety tips to keep in mind while scuba diving Maui.
Existing Medical Conditions: Make sure that your doctor would approve of
your scuba diving. If you have any underlying health conditions that would
pose a risk under water it is best to hold off.
Dive With A Certified Instructor: Make sure that until you are an
experienced diver yourself that you are diving with a certified instructor.
This will prevent any major mistakes from taking place.
Never Dive Alone: Even once you are an experienced diver you should never
dive alone. Always implement the buddy system and make sure you stay with
your buddy as well! Things happen and it is always best to have someone
nearby just in case.
Don’t Hold Your Breath: Breath normally underwater. You want to avoid
holding your breath as much as you can so that you don’t hyperventilate and
you use your gear properly.
