Night Diving

Night dives Maui are a truly magical experience that everyone should have the opportunity to witness at least once in their lifetime. Night dives Maui offer a completely different experience than any daytime dive. The colors are much brighter at night as they are illuminated by the use of a flashlight. If you have hesitated about trying a night dive in the past, we encourage you to look past your fears. Many people are able to work past their night diving fears after just one to two dives. After that point they are confident in their abilities and are able to thoroughly enjoy the experience.

Different creatures will appear at night as well. Even if you have previously visited the same spot during the day, it can look entirely different at night as daytime creatures disappear for the night and nighttime creatures emerge. You will also be pleased to find out that no additional skills are needed for a nighttime dive. In fact, diving at night is no more challenging than during the day. You simply need to be aware of your surroundings.

You will want to practice your hand signals for diving at night. While night diving you will be holding a flashlight so all hand signals will need to be completed with one hand. This is the only additional gear that you will need for a night dive versus a daytime dive.
